A relatively gentle walk through the Gasteiner Valley. Starting at the bus station Boeckstein Ortsmitte you follow the Kaiserin Elisabeth Promenade to Bad Gastein. A well maintained path along the river Ache. We had lunch in Bad Gastein in the beautiful Lutter & Wegner; it has a terrace that offers stunning views. Don’t forget to see the waterfall. Continue to Mozartplatz where you connect to Erzherzog Johann Promenade, a equally well maintained path that leads to Bad Hofgastein. It’s an alternative to the Hoehenweg that leads to BadHofgastein on the opposite side of the valley. It’s generally shadier but has a steep section.
