Day 1 of a two day loop. Could be done in one long day (~17.5 miles total). Day 1 for us was around 10.5 miles.
Starting from the Twentymile Ranger station, it is an easy grade for half mile of the Twentymile Trail. At the first intersection, continue the easy grade another mile on Wolf Ridge Trail. There are half a dozen stream crossings along this route, but all with (somewhat sketchy) log bridges to cross on.
After the 1.5 mile start, turn right on the Twentymile Loop Trail. You will follow this up and down for three miles until reaching the Long Hungry Ridge Trail intersection.
Turning left on Long Hungry Ridge Trail, an easy grade continues up for 1.3 miles until Campsite 92. Leaving Campsite 92, the climb becomes harder for 2.5 more miles until reaching the Rye Patch switch back.
Continue another mile one a gentler grade until reaching the intersections of Gregory Bald and Gregory Ridge trails. From here, one more steep climb (< 1 mile) to reach the summit of Gregory Bald. Great views from here.
A half mile descent to Campsite 13 at the Wolf Ridge Trail intersection.
